I’d read “Thinking, Fast and Slow” before this one, and was pleased to see that the authors referenced that book as foundational reading, but they rendered its contents both more readable and more actionable. I only picked this up at a library sale out of mild interest, but found myself highlighting extensively, brainstorming better hiring practices for the future, and considering ways to otherwise implement their recommendations. Much of it seems like common sense in hindsight, but it’s amazing how often common sense seems opaque until you hear it articulated. I now need to go back through and type up my notes for future reference! Well worth a read.
