This was absolutely satisfying! And very hard to describe, without spoilers. A truly unique fantasy, apparently inspired on some level by a cross between the real life of Alexander Graham Bell and his wife, and also by Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” (I love Wheeler’s afterwords that explain his inspirations at the end.) I’m also amazed that his seemingly unrelated worlds intersect, as he promises this one does with one of his previous series that might have been my favorite up until this one.
Highly recommended, but start with book 1!
