My Review of “Inferno,” by Dan Brown: 4 Stars
A lot of Dan Brown’s books are very similar I think (always Robert Langdon + a pretty woman, though she changes each book, always a race against time for Langdon to decipher some clue before a lunatic destroys the world, usually a lot of historical references and symbology interpretations along the way.) They are very action-packed, not very character-driven, and I’d like to care a little more what happens to the characters than I do. But they’re always entertaining, and my favorite part is the historical/intellectual nuggets that are hidden throughout the text. He also does a good job of throwing in unexpected twists.
